About
Welcome to Mimi Nguyen Cafe | Puchong, a delightful culinary gem nestled in the heart of Taman Kinrara, Selangor. This cafe is your passport to Vietnam, offering an authentic dining experience that pays homage to the rich heritage of Vietnamese cuisine. Located at L-01-01 Jalan PPK 1 Pusat Perniagaan Kinrara, it stands as a beacon for food lovers seeking the warming flavors of the south.
Upon entering, guests are greeted by a beautifully decorated interior that reflects the vibrant culture of Vietnam. The ambiance is cozy yet lively, making it an ideal spot for families, couples, and friends alike. One of the standout elements is the unique ordering system, where diners can scan a QR code to access a visually appealing menu brimming with delightful options.
The menu showcases a variety of traditional dishes, with a particular emphasis on Pho, prepared in the southern style that boasts a deeper, more robust flavor profile. Many patrons, like King Tham, rave about the pho, declaring it the best Vietnamese food in town. Another must-try is their famous Banh Mi, celebrated not just for its crunch but also for its fragrant fillings that leave a lasting impression.
However, it's not all perfect; some, like Fefe Huang, have noted room for improvement, particularly with items like coconut coffee. Nevertheless, the positive experiences often outweigh the negatives. Jooeey C appreciates the freshness of the vegetables and the variety in the offerings, while Zac Kwek highlights the joy of watching dishes being expertly prepared before your eyes. This authentic touch transports diners straight back to Vietnam, enhancing the overall experience.
For those seeking something different, the cafe serves a range of aromatic coffee options, particularly the mocca variety that has been well-received. The attention to detail in both food and drink indeed captures what Vietnamese cuisine is all about.
In summary, Mimi Nguyen Cafe | Puchong is more than just a dining destination; it’s a cultural experience that brings the vibrant spirit of Vietnam to Malaysia. With a little refining of certain menu items, this cafe has the potential to become a beloved staple for all who crave authentic Vietnamese flavors.
“ I liked that this restaurant prepares their pho in the southern Vietnamese style, which typically has a deeper flavour profile in the broth. However, I was very disappointed with the coconut coffee. Overall, I had a pretty decent meal but I think they could work on improving certain items. ”
“ Still the best Vietnamese food in town. Love their banhmi n pho soooo much. Must try their coffee so much fragrance of mocca ”
“ Authentic Vietnamese cuisine. I like the banh mi and the pork noodles. All the veggies are also fresh. Didn't expect the milk tea to be 3 in 1 powder. Overall, good experience and will come back here. ”
“ Been wanting to go this place for some time so tonite drove by and decided to try. The place is well decorated and very nice ambience for couples or family. Scan menu to order when waitress just dropped off the QR. All are Vietnamese and probably don't speak much local language though can speak some mandarin. MENU was full of varieties but most written in Vietnamese. So just choose by picture. Overall food was not bad but added local taste and not so authentic like I tasted in VN. Ordered a Chicken Banh MI and vege rice paper spring roll. VN music playing loud throughout. Overall a pleasant experience. ”
“ Stepping into Mimi Nguyen Cafe for lunch was like being instantly transported back to Vietnam – a truly authentic experience! The eatery is meticulously set up with a myriad of decorations that perfectly capture the essence of Vietnam, just as I remember from my travels. It's a joy to watch them preparing food right before your eyes, especially the Vietnamese bread, which is a testament to their dedication to freshness. I indulged in their Vietnamese bread with chicken, and it was absolutely divine. The bread itself was incredibly crispy on the outside, while the chicken filling was remarkably juicy and tender, bursting with flavor. It’s a must-try! The chicken pho was equally outstanding. The soup had a wonderfully natural sweetness, and there was an abundance of succulent chicken pieces. A pro-tip: remember to add the generous helpings of extra basil, bean sprouts, and lime to elevate the flavors even further. Their spring rolls are a highlight too – huge and generously packed with prawns, pork, and fresh vegetables. Don't forget to dip them in the traditional fish sauce with chili for that extra kick that truly completes the experience. Mimi Nguyen Cafe is a fantastic choice for any occasion – be it a friends gathering or a family dinner. The prices are remarkably affordable for such generous portions, offering excellent value. Parking was also a breeze, with easy street parking available both in the front and back. I was pleasantly surprised to discover their wide-ranging menu, offering everything from à la carte options and family sharing platters to even steamboat – truly something for everyone! This place is a definite culinary journey back to Vietnam. ”
